We tried this lesson in class over summer and we really enjoyed it. I hope you do too.
You will need to find some sticks and some different plants to use to make your paint brushes. We used masking tape to hold the plants on our sticks.
Once we had made our brushes we used large sheets of paper and black paint to paint as many different lines as we could. As we painted we tried to describe our lines; long, short, thin, thick, feathery, meandering, chaotic, soft, hard etc..
