Our new story is Jack and the beanstalk.  Listen to this version first to remind yourself of the story.

Jack and the Beanstalk

If you've got your own version of this story, go and find it now.  It will help you with your next task.  If you don't own a copy of this story, don't worry, here are some front covers for you to look at.  What can you see?  Which characters are on the front of the book?  What else can you see?  How has the title been written?  For your task today I'd like you to design your own front cover for the story of Jack and the beanstalk.  Write the title first so that you have room for it then decide what you will draw on your front cover.  Don't forget that Jack has a ck ending.  The long ee sound in beanstalk is spelt ea and the or sound in stalk is spelt al (like in walk and talk).  Send me pictures of your front covers and I will share them in our photo gallery.
