Today's lesson is all about counting.  Start the lesson by practicing counting in tens.  Don't forget that when you have a large number of things to count, it is easier to put them in groups of ten and then add the remaining objects.

To count these count the tens first, 10, 20, 30 and then count on 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36.  If you can see that there are 6 ones without the need to count them then you'd count 10, 20, 30 + 6 = 36.
