Today we are moving away from fact families and looking at number bonds.  We have done lots of work on number bonds in school over the past few months and your children may well know some facts off by heart now.  It is more likely that they will know the facts for the numbers 1-5 off by heart and may need a little more help with facts from 6-9.  The worksheet covers bonds to 4, 6, 5 and 9.  The large part part whole models that you used earlier this week may well help your child work out bonds to 6 or 9.  They will need something that they can use as counters such as pennies or small lego pieces.  The YouTube song below will help your children begin to learn the bonds to six off by heart.  Watch this before watching the lesson video and completing the worksheet.
