Yesterday we started thinking about how we can find the difference between two numbers. Today we'll play a game to help us consolidate this learning.  You may like to use Lego again to help you if you have some.

I'd like you to play a game today, called Add or Difference

This is a game for two players.

They need 2 x 1- 6 dice

Players take it in turns to throw both dice.

They decide whether to add the two numbers thrown or find the difference between them. They cover their answer with a coloured counter (in their chosen colour)

The first to three in a row is the winner.

If you haven't got any dice (or don't have time to make them) here is an alternative activity for you.  I would suggest completing sheet 1.
