Mrs Brookes Group

Well done for working so hard on your Phase 3 tricky words last week.  Thank you to those of you who sent me emails and pictures so I can see how you are getting on.  This week I'd like to move on to the phase 4 tricky words.  If you feel that your child needs more time to work on the phase 3 words then there are resources available on Twinkl.  If you'd prefer me to find them for you then I'm very happy to do so, just email me on yr1teacher@kington.hereford.sch.uk

Can read all phase 3 tricky words.

Can spell these words too.

Can read all phase 4 tricky words.

Can spell these words too.

Don't expect your child to learn to spell a word before they have learnt to read it.  They may need to continue to work on a few spellings from phase 3 (are, they, all etc...) whilst they begin to learn to read the phase 4 words.

Here is an activity booklet for the phase 4 words.  There are enough pages to keep you busy all week so I'll give you time in each phonics session to work on this.
