Mrs Brookes Group

Well done for working so hard on your Phase 3 tricky words last week.  Thank you to those of you who sent me emails and pictures so I can see how you are getting on.  This week I'd like to move on to the phase 4 tricky words.  If you feel that your child needs more time to work on the phase 3 words then there are resources available on Twinkl.  If you'd prefer me to find them for you then I'm very happy to do so, just email me on

Can spell these words too.

Can read all phase 4 tricky words.

Can spell these words too.

Don't expect your child to learn to spell a word before they have learnt to read it.  They may need to continue to work on a few spellings from phase 3 (are, they, all etc...) whilst they begin to learn to read the phase 4 words.

Here is an activity booklet for the phase 4 words.  There are enough pages to keep you busy all week so I'll give you time in each phonics session to work on this.
