Mrs R-P's and Mrs Loxton's Groups

Start the session by practicing spelling the days of the week.  How many can you spell now?  Spend a few minutes focusing on the few you find tricky.  Write each of these out three times.  Can you find the tricky part of the word? (Don't spend time writing out the ones you are confident with)

Today we are going to look at the prefix un.  A prefix goes before a word and changes it's meaning.  We have learnt lots of suffixes in year 1 (s, es, ing, ed and est) but this is our first prefix.

Have a go at reading these un words.  Can you put them into sentences (either written or spoken)?

unlock             unfair

undo               unhappy

unkind            undress
