Mrs R-P's and Mrs Loxton's Groups

We are going to finish the week by looking at words ending nk.  Children in Year 1 are often unsure as to whether they need a c, k or even a ck, particularly at the ends of words.  nk always follows the short vowels a, u, i and o, so the endings are ank, unk, ink and onk.   Can you read these nk words below.

Have a go at spelling the words; pink, ink and think.  Next have a go at using them in sentences.

Here are some ideas but you are welcome to write your own.  Don't forget to include a nk word.

I have a new pink top.

My printer needs some ink.
