We were so lucky with the weather for our Summer Fayre last Friday which meant everyone could enjoy the stalls and the Year 6 games that they had created especially. The Friends of KPS team were busy preparing the Fayre throughout the day and we send our huge thanks to them and all of Year 6 for all their hard work. Thank you so much to you all for coming and helping us to raise over £1330!
Mr Sell, the Mayor of Kington, paid a visit to school again last week as he came to talk to our School Council and Sports Council about how the Town Council run their meetings and make important decisions for the town. He even brought his official Mayoral chain with him to show us.
We had a real treat in assembly too as Violet and Benedict, two of our Year 6 pupils, performed their Grade 2 examination pieces to the whole school on their clarinets. They even showed us how to assemble the instruments and were accompanied on the piano by their dad too. Thank you to the Darch family for sharing with us all.
Congratulations to our Headteacher's Stickers winners too for displaying our values throughout the school; their teachers were very proud to share how well they have been working in class and the lovely qualities they show each other on the playground. Edward, Tom and Edith also announced the winners and runners up of their poster competition they had set as a challenge after telling us all about the dangers of deforestation and how it is destroying the habitats of many animals including orangutans. Well done and thank you to everyone who took part - it was a very hard decision!
