Hello Year 2

We are going to carrying on learning about plants today.

Can you remember what germination means?  If you planted some seeds a few weeks ago, they should have germinated now.

This week we are going to find out more about the life cycle of plants.  I wonder what you already know about plant life cycles?  I wonder if you know why plants have flowers?

Draw some pictures and/or write some sentences to show what you already know about plant life-cycles.

Now watch two short videos.   In the second one the teacher talks really fast, so you might want to watch it twice.  Listen out for the word pollination and see if you can find out what it means.

Tomorrow we will look inside another flower and maybe you can have a go at dissecting a flower, but you will have to ask your parents first and you will need some help.
