Phonics Summer Term
This half term the lessons will focus on using the Phase 2 and 3 sounds that the children have learnt to support reading and writing simple phrases and sentences, in class we call this our 'Red Ditty Work' so it is a format the children have already met.
As well as the daily uploaded lesson we recommend you visit the website Phonics play as a warm up each day, play 1 or 2 games to help recap all the sounds so far. The focus should be on Phase 2 and 3 sounds.
A new tricky word will still be introduced each week. Again there are games on Phonics play to support learning these.
BBC bitesize also offers a range of phonics practise activities and Letters and Sounds for home and school have recorded lessons for your child to watch and work along with. All the links are provided below.
