We are proud at Kington to have so many groups of children to represent us.
Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community. The school council have worked alongside other bodies, such as KLAP & KLEEN to improve the local environment and community.
Our latest council group to form is our Sports Council. Our representatives' priority is to get as many children active across school as possible and enjoying sports.
Kington Primary School’s Eco Council has worked hard to promote ‘green issues’ throughout the school.
We have ten School Ambassadors from our Year Six class. They are trained by Mrs Lewis and used to show visitors around and to represent our school at events. They are very honest and informative and always commented upon because of their polite and knowledgeable manner. We are very proud of them.
Children in Year 5 look after children from the Infants at playtimes and play games with them. They are supported by Mrs Bretherton.
Our Year 5 Maths Ambassadors have been trained to help coach and support younger children in school with their numeracy skills.
Our Literacy Ambassadors have been trained to help coach and support younger children in school with their writing skills.
