End of term

It's been a lovely end of term with so many exciting moments.

Tuesday was our third Enrichment Day of the year and children were enjoying the range of activities on offer around school.

On Thursday we presented achievement certificates to two children from each class who have impressed their teachers over the last 6 weeks.

Friday's assembly brought us together to see who would winning the Inter House trophy for dance.  The standard of dancing was amazing, and the three judges had a very hard decision on choosing a winner.   By a very narrow margin, we congratulated Ireland House as winners. All four dances can be viewed in our Video Resource Centre.

Meanwhile, children from Lady Hawkins' and some of our own Eco Warriors met the display some of the pledges children had written on painted hearts. These will be displayed about town.  The children's ideas and messages are really well considered.

Despite the rain, Reception class invited their Year 3 Buddies to join them for a welly-walk to the Rec to find the different settings from 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'.  Both classes had fun, especially in the mud, and it was nice to share a biscuit snack at the end of walk.

A busy week to end the half term. We hope everyone enjoys their half-term break.  See back on Monday 24th February!
