Friday 3rd February

Another busy week! The children love non-uniform days - thank you so much for any donations you have been able to send in to help the Friends of KPS to buy the prizes for our up-and-coming Easter Bingo.

This morning, we were so pleased to award Headteacher's Stickers for being wonderful friends, creating expressive dances as a team, hard-working attitudes, showing resilience at Forest School, keeping going with tricky subjects and impressive reading on Bug Club. Well done everyone!

Congratulations to our first groups of Bikeability participants in Year 4 and 5 who impressed our instructors with their cycling abilities. Thank you to the Bikeability team for helping us develop our road-awareness skills.

Our classes have started to buddy up this week to share their reading books and discuss their favourite stories. Year 2 and Year 6 made good use of the library to get together and created a super 'reading buzz'.

We have also welcomed Steve and Di from 'Hands Up!' this week to help our Year 5 children learn about climate change and explore more sustainable ways to use energy now and in the future. There were some wonderful news reports being produced and then the children enjoyed making flower-pot stoves that are being used sustainably in Malawi.

Have a fantastic weekend all and we hope to welcome many of you to our Parent Workshops on Tuesday (3.45pm to 5.00pm) to discuss the different types of national assessment for some of our year groups and ways you can support your child.
