Our School Value for May is Cooperation.
Our Core Values: Hope, Trust, Courage & Perseverance, Respect, Cooperation, Responsibility, Kindness & Friendship, Honesty, Peace and Understanding.
We explore our core values in our school and class assemblies and look out for them in our daily practice, earning Values Vouchers and Beads as we go.
We had visitors in school today who were very impressed by assembly and the smiles on the children’s faces when they received their Headteacher Stickers. Congratulations. Our visitors also commented on the politeness, and hard work of the children and how much they were enjoying their learning.
We have also noticed that the children are being brilliant in remembering to wear their school shoes even if they have their boots or trainers to wear outside. They had fun with this photograph even though they said a shoe shine at the weekend would make a big difference! Thank you parents for supporting our policy on school shoes.
Concern Universal returned to school to talk about Children’s Rights. They discussed the rights that all children have to be happy, safe and healthy and to flourish as young people. Looking at children in other parts of the world but also making it personal to them. An important and thoughtful session for our Yr6 pupils.
We finished a great term with our Enrichment Day. Children worked in buddy groups from across the school on a whole range of exciting activities including a trip out to Tillington Farm. They were busy sewing, cooking, computing, debating, discussing and creating.
Congratulations to our Headteacher Sticker Award winners.
A super end to a busy week with Headteacher awards for fantastic achievement, attitude and responsibility. Congratulations.
A great start to the month and a new Value. We are looking at Patience during February. Some of the children receiving Headteacher Stickers today have shown great patience in their learning to achieve their goals.
Our singing group travelled to The Courtyard for a rehearsal ready to perform tomorrow evening in Raising The Roof. They were fabulous even though a little nervous finding themselves on the main stage. We can not take photographs during the performance so took some today.
