The pantomime came to Kington with a fantastic show for all the children, and staff, to enjoy. There was laughter, singing and the story of Dick Whittington to amuse and entertain everyone. Thank you to The Friends of Kington Primary School for organising and contributing to such a lovely afternoon.

So many of the children who were congratulated today with Headteacher Stickers had shown a fantastic attitude not only to their learning but to all aspects of the school. There were several children supporting others in their learning alongside making fabulous progress themselves. Maybe they are teachers in the making? Well done everyone.

Look who else came to visit our youngest children this week!

We had such a treat in school today as our Inter House Dance Competition reached the final stage. The four groups performed to the whole school and amazed us with the variety of dance styles, enthusiasm, complicated routines and energy. Judging was really hard and the result really close with Scotland lifting the trophy. Everyone was incredible.

Today, while Years 5 and 6 were having a lovely day at Tudor World, Nursery to Year 4 had a 'wear what you like' day to raise money for Children in Need.  So far we have raised £190!  Thank you to everyone who so kindly sent in a donation.

Our brilliant school councillors lead the assembly today, encouraging us all to think about bullying.  It is Anti-Bullying week, and the councillors explained what to do if people are being unkind, as well as how we can all be friends to each other.

Today, Reverend Ben visited us during assembly to help us learn about our current value, 'Cooperation'.  He told us a story that encouraged us to help each other, fix a problem where we can and work together as a school to keep our school a happy place.

The children in Nursery and Reception celebrated Diwali. They made Diva lights, shared the story of Rama and Sita and learnt some lovely songs. They all shared some Diwali food while listening to music. It was quite magical.

Our Year Five pupils spent the day at Lady Hawkins' getting to know the school and the staff as part of a Taster Day involving all of our local schools. They came back very excited about the Rio themed day and all of the activities they took part in. What good preparation this is for them.

This weekend has seen many of the children from school taking part in Remembrance Day parades representing many different organisations. On the 11th day of the 11th month Year Six shared with the school letters from young men who suffered during the war and the effect it had on their families. We all spent the two minutes silence reflecting on all they had shared with us. On Sunday five of those children joined staff at the Kington Remembrance Day church service and parade laying a wreath on behalf of us all.

We had such a special assembly when Ethan came to share with us all the most beautiful music on his guitar. The children listened to a variety of tunes and talked about how it made them feel. The children in Reception and Year Three are going to be working with Ethan creating and enjoying music over the nest few weeks. We are very lucky.
