  • Achievements Assembly

    Fri 12 Apr 2019 Mrs A Phillips
It has been a fabulous term with so many highlights. The children are amazing and make school such a lovely place to be and to learn. We awarded a record number of house point badges and certificates for a range of thing with positivity, enthusiasm and enjoyment being a common theme. We celebrated all the children and another successful term. Thank you everyone and have a really good spring break.
  • Congratulations!

    Wed 10 Apr 2019 Mr D Perkins

Well done to all the children who have had 100% attendance this term. Some of the children were not able to be in assembly as we had classes and children visiting Kington Museum, playing hockey and out on a walk. We congratulated them all back in class.  We had two Year 6 children this time pulled from a draw to win a ticket for themselves and a friend to either the Easter Super Stars Club or to the Small Breeds Farm.  Finally, a big well done to our Year 5 children, whose class had the highest attendance overall this time. We will wait and see what they plan for their class treat?

More congratulations are in order for our successful hockey team, as they have continued their good form and won their two matches at Moor Park.  The team, captained by Lily, scored 5 goals during their two games and did not concede any! Thank you to Mr Hazelman for your continued support and coaching expertise.

  • Celebration

    Fri 05 Apr 2019 Mrs A Phillips
As you can see from the blog it has been another eventful week in school. We were able to celebrate with the children, all the things that they had learnt and achieved. Our values of Appreciation and Thoughtfulness were a common theme amongst the children receiving Headteacher Stickers this morning. Thank you everyone for making the school such a special place for children and adults.
  • Science Morning for Year 4

Thu 04 Apr 2019 Mr Perkins

Year 4 were so excited to go to Lady Hawkins' School today as we walked up through the snow.  The children worked on three activities during the morning themed around 'colour'.  There was a biology, chemistry and physics activity that fitted around this topic.

You can see from these photos that the children all had a great time and we are very grateful to the whole of the Science Department for organising and running the morning so well.

  • Pottery Fun

Wed 03 Apr 2019 Mrs AC Phillips
We were so lucky to have potter Alex Allpress in school today working with children from across the school, chosen because of their creative interest and flair. It was very difficult to decide which children to choose as we have so many with a creative talent. All the children made coil pots adorned with animals, with the older children being given the opportunity to use the potters wheel. The results were fantastic. We would like to thank Kington Masons for their very kind donation to the school, which helped fund this very special day.
  • Enrichment

    Wed 03 Apr 2019 Mrs A Phillips
It is always such a pleasure to capture all the lovely things that happen around school on our Enrichment Day. The children love to work with other children from across the school, making, creating, exploring and reflecting. They support each other and have lovely conversations with a different group of friends. It is always nice to come together at the end of the day when one of the groups share their ideas about the value of the month with the whole school. A lovely end to a super day.
