The Nursery children brought back the sunflower seeds they had been growing at home as part of our Turners Garden Centre competition. They all did really well with the winner managing to grow theirs taller than themselves, very impressive. They really loved their winning prize.
While the rest of school had a morning in their new classes for September Year Six enjoyed playtime at the recreation ground and a good time was had by all. We will miss them. More news on their leaving later in the week.
We all had such a treat with the end of year show 'Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies' There was amazing singing, dancing and acting and the script was totally entertaining both for children and adults. Year Six took the main roles and were fantastic. Parents supported us with great costumes and all the staff joined together to put together another great show. It was brilliant.
Earlier in the day our final Headteacher Stickers for the year were presented along with Attendance Certificates for those children who had risen to the challenge and attended school 100% of the time during the summer term. All of the children were entered into a draw with the lucky winners receiving a family ticket for Kington Show courtesy of McCartneys of Kington and a pass from Superstars Summer School. Well done to them all and thank you to our community for supporting the school.
We had to say a sad farewell to Penny, from Aspire Dance, who has been a fabulous dance teacher for our after school club. The dancers finished with a short show to their families. It was super and they have clearly enjoyed their chance to dance.
