Our School Value for May is Cooperation.
Our Core Values: Hope, Trust, Courage & Perseverance, Respect, Cooperation, Responsibility, Kindness & Friendship, Honesty, Peace and Understanding.
We explore our core values in our school and class assemblies and look out for them in our daily practice, earning Values Vouchers and Beads as we go.
Our final assembly of this half term saw children receiving their house point badges and hockey certificates as well as congratulating England and Wales for being joint winners of the Running Club trophy. We sometimes have 50 runners on a Friday lunchtime all earning points for their house. We had lots of fantastic role models from across the school receiving Achievement Certificates. Congratulations everyone and have a good half term holiday.
We were all waiting with anticipation for the results of our Inter House Art Competition and today was results day. The staff at Lady Hawkins' had such a difficult job judging and we congratulated many of the children recognised for their extra special talent and creativity. We had individual winners representing Wales in KS1 and England in KS2 with the overall trophies being presented to Ireland in KS1 and England in KS2.
The new Inter House 'Dance' Competition was introduced so the next challenge is under way.
The hall was busy so we had a ‘walking assembly’ today with the children still receiving their Headteacher Awards but in class. By the end of the walk we had a fantastic group of amazing children to say well done to.
We had a lovely walk to St Marys’ church for our Harvest Assembly. The children shared songs and poems and even the parents join us for the Harvest Rock and Roll song and actions!
Once back at school the children who had applied to be School Ambassadors for this year were interviewed and given some initial training before receiving their badges and our congratulations.
