Our School Value for May is Cooperation.
Our Core Values: Hope, Trust, Courage & Perseverance, Respect, Cooperation, Responsibility, Kindness & Friendship, Honesty, Peace and Understanding.
We explore our core values in our school and class assemblies and look out for them in our daily practice, earning Values Vouchers and Beads as we go.
We took a fabulous group of children to Old Trafford to experience a full stadium for a Europa League match. The atmosphere, inside and outside the stadium, was amazing and the game exciting with lots of great commentary from the children. They cheered on both Saint Etienne and Manchester United and were rewarded with three goals including a penalty. The journey was a time to enjoy being with friends and snuggle up to sleep on the way home.
We just love Enrichment Days with the variety of activities including trips out to Turners Garden Centre, cooking, performance poetry, art, animation, sport and culture. The day finishes with the whole school enjoying the poetry that the children have performed in their group. A super day.
Today we enjoyed our annual Safer Internet Day. The focus this year was on images; what to share and not to share, saying positive comments and being critical as to the reliability of where the image came from.
There are a number of really useful resources available for parents to help support this topic at home. Please find some time to read them, preferably together with your child/ren.
On this grey day your singing during assembly was truly amazing and made everyone smile, thank you everyone.
Here are this week's 'headteacher's sticker' children who have been awarded their stickers for such a wonderful variety of reasons including showing true friendship, being determined, improvements in handwriting and maths, sharing modestly with others and impressing in final pieces of written work. Congratulations to you all.
