Year Six finished their time with us in good spirits and with a fantastic Leavers Assembly for their families and the school. They are all ready and excited about moving on to High School and we wish them all the very best.

After a busy year with many highlights we are all looking forward to a super summer break and returning on September 3rd for another good year.

We were really excited to have Hannah Allaway visit us for the morning. Hannah was a pupil at Kington Primary and is now in Year 11 at LHS. She played her 2 harps for the whole school and we were all amazed at how talented she is!  Later in the morning Hannah worked with our Year 1 and 2 children and even let some of them try her harp. It was such a privilege to hear Hannah play.

Today Kington took a group of children to be part of the Change 4 Life Festival held as part of the Sainsbury's Summer School Games in Hereford.  Our nine year 5 children were responsible for organising and delivering a small activity to other schools' children during the morning sessions.  The children did brilliantly at leading and coaching the other children and several comments were made about their good conduct.  We are all proud of all of them for showing many of the values of the games; honesty, team work, determination, self belief, respect and passion.  In the afternoon we were able to take part in a number of fun and energetic activities, such as circus skills. Finally, we met Zac Purchase, Team GB London 2012's Olympic silver medalist, who was lovely and very inspirational.

We started a new month with our final Enrichment Day of this year. Children worked in buddy groups from across the school on a whole range of exciting activities including a trip out to Tillington Farm. They were busy sewing, cooking, animating, debating, discussing and creating.
