Our School Value for May is Cooperation.
Our Core Values: Hope, Trust, Courage & Perseverance, Respect, Cooperation, Responsibility, Kindness & Friendship, Honesty, Peace and Understanding.
We explore our core values in our school and class assemblies and look out for them in our daily practice, earning Values Vouchers and Beads as we go.
We said goodbye and good luck to Mrs Oliver who is leaving us as a Lunchtime Supervisor for an exciting new venture. We are so glad that she is still with us in the evenings.
Headteacher Stickers were awarded for a whole range of fantastic things this week. The children have settled brilliantly and are showing such positivity. Congratulations.
We were delighted that Olympian Daniel Caines joined us today to launch our 'Be the Best you can Be' initiative. Daniel is one of Great Britain's top runners over 400m and brought his treasured gold medal into school, much to the delight of the children. Daniel was such an inspiration encouraging the children to follow their dreams whether in sport or not. The initiative is run by the charity 21st Century Legacy set up after the 2012 London Olympics.
Daniel also presented our Superstars certificates which was a real treatWhat a fantastic start to the new year with all of our children settling brilliantly into their new classes. They have returned ready to make the very best of school as this snapshot shows.
Firstly, we would like to welcome everyone back to school and hope that everyone enjoyed their holiday. We are all very proud of how everyone has settled into their new classes and our school routines.
Today in morning assembly, we gathered to hear some of our Year 6 children read their speeches to encourage us all to vote for them to become House Captains. They all spoke brilliantly, showing great confidence and courage. At the end of the day we gathered again to announce who had been voted in. Congratulations to Owen & Thalia (Wales), Peter & Lucia (England), Tashan & Rachel (Ireland) and Kieran & Jess (Scotland).
