Kington Primary Dress Code (September 2023)

We want our children to look smart when at school and feel proud to wear their uniform.

Whilst we prefer items to have the school logo on, this is not essential for all items. Please contact school for further clarification if necessary. 

Please ensure all items of uniform are clearly named so they can be returned to your child if mislaid.

 MAIN UNIFORM

• Dark grey/black school trousers or shorts, grey school skirt or pinafore dress
• School yellow polo shirt
• School royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan
• Plain grey/white/black socks

• Plain grey tights
• Sensible black school shoes (plain black ankle boots are permitted in the winter but there should be no heels or embellishments for safety reasons)
• Waterproof school coat
• School fleece (optional)
• Summer dress – blue and white check

PE KIT - to be worn into school on PE days only

(No branding on PE items)

• School yellow PE shirt or plain yellow t-shirt
• Black plain shorts
• Trainers for outdoor PE
• Plain black tracksuit trousers or leggings, in colder weather (optional)
• Sports PE Hoody (optional)
• Football boots (optional)

The school will provide a separate PE kit for pupils when participating in sports festivals

JEWELLERY

• If necessary, the children may only wear small stud earrings that the children will need to remove or cover with medical tape for PE.
• Watches – to be analogue or digital.  No smart watches.  Fitbits are allowed but photo or phone capability must be disabled.

HAIR

• Long hair should be tied up at all times in a dark clip or band (no hair accessories)
• Haircuts should be of a natural style and colour (no gel, tramlines etc.)

MISCELLANEOUS

• Nail varnish should not be worn in school
