HISTORY / GEOGRAPHY

Find a mountain that we have discussed in class and create a poster about all the information you know. Use the internet to research extra information for your poster.

P.E.

Create:

1) A fitness exercise that will get a mountaineer ready to climb a mountain.

2) Create a journey through an imaginary mountain pass using gym moves.

DT / ART

Design a mountain and its features, then create this mountain by: drawing, painting, model making or baking!

MUSIC

Create a sound track to your story in English and use homemade instruments. If you feel confident enough you could record this.

ENGLISH

Create a story where everything happens on a mountain. Remember to plan out your stories first and then check them at the end. You can use: people and animals in your story. Create a list of instructions of how to climb or ski on a mountain. Remember to plan out both pieces before you write.

SCIENCE

Research sexual and asexual plants that grow in mountainous regions and create a fact file about two different types of flowers or plants.

MATHS

Find out the heights of one mountain on each continent and record.

In this work we will be covering all four of the operations: addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.

 

PSHE / BRITISH VALUES

Where should the government spend the money. Complete the activity and explain your choices.

 

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Think about the different religion s that have God/s on mountains and create a fact file about them.

COMPUTING / I.C.T

Create a flow chart to show how a mountaineer prepares for a climb.
