A wonderful end to the half term

Firstly, thank you to everyone who attended our Family Bingo Evening on Tuesday.  It was so nice to see the hall full. Thank you again to our brilliant and hard working Friends Committee for organising the event, which raised nearly £300.

On Thursday, the majority of classes were out on exciting trips. Year One and Year Two enjoyed a great day at Brockhampton, while Year Three visited the Sculpture Park to watch an amazing dance performance and explore the art work. Our oldest children had a super day at Hay Festival which also has its own blog post by Mrs Bretherton.

The children who went to Hay Festival had the exciting opportunity to see Harry Hill, Ade Adepitan and Chitra Soundar.  Many of our children were able to meet Harry Hill personally and get his autograph and some Year 4's managed to meet Cressida Cowell too - such lovely memories to keep.

To end the week, we gathered in the hall to recognise the achievements of a number of children over this half term; all worthy nominations from their class teachers. It was also an opportunity to say well done to the children who receive special lunchtime cards for particularly impressive behaviour and play.

We wish you all a pleasant half term break and hope that the sun continues to shine. We look forward to seeing you on Monday June 3rd for another successful half term.
