An exciting week including 'World Book Day'

Happy ‘World Book Day’ everyone! What a lovely day we had thinking about reading for pleasure. We were delighted to welcome many different characters and authors into school on Thursday as you can see from the photos. Across school everyone had the chance to work with Jamie from ‘The Courtyard’ and we all enjoyed exploring literature through drama. As part of the ‘World Book Day’ celebrations everyone will be bringing home a £1 book voucher which can be put towards either a special £1 book published for the event or use it as £1 towards another book.

Year 5 and 6 put on their own marvellous Victorian Museum this week too which was visited by lots of keen visitors from the other classes as well as the Year 5 and 6 parents.  It was a really interesting display and the labels explained the items really clearly.  Thank you to all the pupils and staff who worked so hard to make that happen and thank you for your support at home with all these amazing activities.

Congratulations to all our Headteacher Sticker awardees this week too.  Everybody has worked really hard this week and it was very hard to our staff to choose just two in each class!  Have a lovely weekend everyone.
