Friday 10th November

The whole school came together to think about Remembrance Sunday, Armistice and why we wear a red poppy at this time. Year Six shared with us letters from soldiers and their families, poems and poignant information. They led two minutes silence when the hall fell silent to remember.

A group from Year Six then walked to the war memorial to think about their roles and responsibilities at the Remembrance Parade on Sunday.

To finish the day our School Council members helped the Mayor of Kington officially declare the newly refurbished play park at the recreation ground open. They all joined together to cut the ribbon. A busy day at school to finish the week.
