Today's assembly was like an Achievement Assembly; we had so many reasons to congratulate our amazing children.
Congratulations to 'Ireland House' for winning the Caleigh Dance Inter-House Competition. Every house danced brilliantly and the judges had a difficult decision to make. We have uploaded the winning dance to our Video Resource Centre.
As normal, we congratulated children from each class for their accomplishments and achievements this week, as spotted by their class teachers and adults. There were so many fantastic reasons and values.
We also congratulated some of our Year 4 children who competed in a local Spelling Bee competition. The children have been working extremely hard learning their word lists and we are delighted to have come first and second place! We will proudly be the first winners to have our name inscribed on the trophy. A special congratulations to Elodie, who was the overall individual spelling champion.
Today's assembly was also a chance to congratulate the many children who have achieved 100% attendance this term. Two lucky children have won free club entries to Super Stars Easter Holiday Club and our upcoming Science Club respectively.
This week was Sport Relief Week and on behalf of the whole school, we thank our Sports Councillors for organising a very successful raffle and running lunchtime activities for the children. We will let you know how much money has been raised and donated to Sport Relief - thank you all! In assembly, we drew the raffle and there were some fantastic prizes won and some very happy children. Our Sports Councillors also chose someone from each class who they felt has been very sporty and active this week.
Continuing on a sport theme, well done to some of our Year 5 & 6 children who took part in a tag rugby competition at Luctonians. Our team played some fantastic rugby and narrowly missed out on progressing through the quarter finals.
A very busy week - with Science Week next week still to come!
