Outdoor Learning

We have managed to capture a few outdoor images to share with you this week. Our value for the month of Freedom is represented by our youngest and our oldest children having the opportunity to learn outside. It is so important for them to be outside whenever possible especially with so much ’bubble time’ at the moment. The Year Five and Year Six walk was a great success and although there was just one short shower they enjoyed lovely bright weather for a special Autumn walk. The children described the views as 'awesome' There were a few tired legs but lots of smiles too. It was quite an achievement.

In assembly today the House Captains awarded the first House Point badges of the new academic year and we congratulated all the children being awarded the Headteacher stickers for this week. Co-operation and teamwork on the walk featured as well as independence and hard work in class.

Our new value for October is Peace and we will be looking at what that means to us in school and in the wider community both locally and worldwide. We know that the children will really reflect on this important value as they always do.
