We have had such a great week at school with so many different events and activities. The children have been brilliant, as always, and choosing who would receive Headteacher Stickers today so difficult. We celebrated a range of achievements with several of the children acknowledged for their kindness and friendship, reflecting the values that make school such a special place.
Some of the members of our brilliant Friends of Kington Primary School announced the winner of their logo competition. Look out for the winning design on the information our ‘friends’ send out.
We also congratulated the children who were amazing at a Spelling Bee competition held at Lady Hawkins’ High School. They faced a lot of really tricky words.
Sports Council members announced the winners of their first playground game and that a skipping competition is the next challenge.
The week ended with another celebration of the curriculum with Year Five sharing learning with their families. They showed the fabulous films they had made in science making us think about endangered chimpanzees and shared the experiences of World War evacuees through writing and drama.
We all really enjoy sharing all the things that happen in school and sometimes wonder how the children fit so much in. They are fabulous.
