'Buddy' from ChildLine joined us today to talk to the older children about what they can do if they have any worries or fears, however big or small. Buddy will be back soon to do some workshops. We hope this is another way to make sure that all our children are safe and happy.

Congratulations to the children awarded this week's Headteacher Stickers. They are all so proud of their achievement.

We would like to say thank you to the children for supporting the Poppy Appeal and raising £111.19. Vital welfare and benevolent work can be done with our help.

Children's Commissioner's Day saw Dick and Jo in school talking to the children about being safe.

    Another great week.

Mrs Priday arrived to collect the shoe boxes for Samaritan's Purse. They will bring such joy to the children who receive them this Christmas. Thank you for helping to bring a smile to their faces this year.

It was lovely to hear the sound of the piano as Mr Gilling accompanied our younger children in the hall as they begin to prepare for their Christmas celebrations.

Classes have been out visiting the Recreation Ground, St Marys' Church and the Fire Station wearing the new high visibility jackets given to us by Kington Lions. We are absolutely delighted and very grateful for their generosity and their help in keeping us safe. The children have writen a letter of thanks and have included the words 'awesome' and 'fantastic' along with their thanks.

It has been a really busy and exciting week in school. The children have been doing 'Money Maths' all week discovering lots of new things and using their number knowledge to solve problems. The children have talked about jobs and the cost of living, how we earn and how we save. Some have been counting and sorting money and learning the names of the coins. We finished the week with a fantastic assembly to share all the great work.

Year Six led assembly today sharing with us thoughts and poetry to help us think about the importance of today and why we remember all those who died, and continue to die, in Wars across the world. It was very moving with all the children joining in a minutes silence.

A group of Year Six pupils joined Mrs Phillips, Mr Ward Willis and Mr Yeomans on the Remembrance Parade yesterday laying a wreath on behalf of all the children and staff. They were thoughtful representatives of the school.
