The children from across the school set off early to take part in a sponsored walk. Our youngest children walked locally whilst the oldest enjoyed Hergest Ridge. The weather was kind and they enjoyed both the walk and the amazing signs of nature as they wandered. A well deserved ice cream was awaiting them on their return to school.

Three coaches were here ready and waiting to take almost the entire school to the Hay Literary Festival for the day. We are so lucky that the event is so close to school and the children were all very excited about their day.

What a wonderful way to start the week!  Congratulations to all our sticker winners today; we heard about a wide range of qualities that they have been displaying in lessons, with their peers and around the school. Well done all.

A really busy week with lots of visitors including Ofsted. Thank you everyone for all your super support and for your wonderful children.

We were able to say a huge Congratulations to one of our three amazing girls football teams who won the first of our annual girls football tournament and were awarded the Selina Cup. This cup has a special significance as it is the middle name of our much loved and missed Deputy Headteacher Mrs Flood. Mr Blood was a fantastic coach and it was very fitting that the cup was presented on his last day with us.

We also had pirates in school this morning looking for treasure. We are so pleased that they found it and then joined us to sing in assembly.

The final visitors of the day were student teachers from America who came to see how the children learn in our school. They were treated to some super sessions including the Year Six Dragons Den.

A wonderful end to the week with lots of deserving children awarded stickers for hard work, determination and lots of work at home too.   A special mention to our Year 6 pupils, who have faced their end of Key Stage tests this week with a real determination to succeed.  Well done to you all.

The smiles on the faces of the children says it all. They are so proud, as we are ,because they are all working so hard and achieving so much. It is such a pleasure to award them their Headteacher Stickers. Congratulations
