Our final assembly of this half term saw children receiving their house point badges and hockey certificates as well as congratulating England and Wales for being joint winners of the Running Club trophy. We sometimes have 50 runners on a Friday lunchtime all earning points for their house. We had lots of fantastic role models from across the school receiving Achievement Certificates. Congratulations everyone and have a good half term holiday.

We took two children to the Herefordshire Winter School Games Level 2 Quicksticks event at Lady Hawkins' School and they played brilliantly. It was even more exciting when one of our super teams came away with a gold medal. This also means that we have qualified for the Herefordshire Winter Games Competition in February. The Lady Hawkins' Young Sports Leaders were excellent too.

We were all waiting with anticipation for the results of our Inter House Art Competition and today was results day. The staff at Lady Hawkins' had such a difficult job judging and we congratulated many of the children recognised for their extra special talent and creativity. We had individual winners representing Wales in KS1 and England in KS2 with the overall trophies being presented to Ireland in KS1 and England in KS2.

The new Inter House 'Dance' Competition was introduced so the next challenge is under way.

The hall was busy so we had a ‘walking assembly’ today with the children still receiving their Headteacher Awards but in class. By the end of the walk we had a fantastic group of amazing children to say well done to.

Many of our KS2 children represented the school at Lady Hawkins' High School this afternoon.  Year 5 and 6 children took part in an orienteering activity, whilst dodging the showers.  Meanwhile, in the dry, year 3 and 4 children took part in a range of multiskills.  Thank you to the staff at Lady Hawkins School for organising the event and to the children for their excellent efforts.

The new School Ambassadors were introduced to the school and congratulated on their successful applications for this important role. We all reflected on a super week.

We had a lovely walk to St Marys’ church for our Harvest Assembly. The children shared songs and poems and even the parents join us for the Harvest Rock and Roll song and actions!

Once back at school the children who had applied to be School Ambassadors for this year were interviewed and given some initial training before receiving their badges and our congratulations.
