  • Young Voices 2019

Fri 25 Jan 2019 Mrs Bretherton
Thank you to all the pupils that represented the school so well at the Young Voices concert at the Genting Arena.  We had such an amazing day; from singing beautifully together as a school on the coach to performing the songs and dances with our 6000 other choir members, it was superb.  We even got to sing 'Gold' with Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet fame.  Feedback from the children and parents has been really positive too so watch this space for next year!
  • Congratulations and Thanks

    Fri 25 Jan 2019 Mrs A Phillips

As our fantastic choir headed off to Birmingham to perform at the Young Voices concert we had lots to celebrate in school as children were awarded  Headteacher stickers for a range of achievements. We had our first badges for incredible sewing and our first double award when one of the children was celebrated by the class teacher as well as our Superstars sports coach.

We also acknowledged one of our pupils who had shown amazing kindness, thoughtfulness and compassion when an elderly member of the public had fallen in the street. The young man, his brother and a friend remained with the lady and her husband until the emergency services arrived and they were sure that the lady was in good hands. A true reflection of community care and wonderful personal qualities.

Lots of reasons to celebrate, thank you everyone.

  • Values Conference

    Fri 18 Jan 2019 Mrs A Phillips
A fantastic day of activities at Lady Hawkins' School and snow too! Year Six joined other children from our local schools to think about the value of Caring and to join in a range of great activities. They made movies, cooked pizza, created some lovely art work, learnt bush craft and yoga skills, experienced how difficult disability sport is and just enjoyed being together. We come together to plan and deliver this important Values Conference biannually and this year was another great success. Meanwhile back in school the children were congratulated on achieving their Headteacher Sticker for brilliant work this week.
  • Welcome Back

    Fri 11 Jan 2019 Mrs A Phillips
It has been brilliant having the children back into school and seeing how positive they are about the term ahead. It was a difficult decision presenting the Headteacher awards today as all the children have returned ready and eager to learn and to catch up with each other after a long break. We wished each other a successful and happy 2019.
