Enrichment Day completed a really successful Spring half term. Children gardened in the refurbished pond area, created animated films, made posters of our value Respect, looked at colour and shape and the work of Matisse and visited Elan Valley. What a super day. Happy Half Term holiday everyone.

Almost the entire school went to Hay Festival for a fantastic day meeting authors, discovering the work behind a finished book and having a super picnic in the sunshine. A great day.

We welcomed a number of schools to take part in our annual Mitchell Hamer football and netball competition.  This year was extra special, as it marks the centenary year of WW1 which claimed the life of Albert Henry (Bertie) Hamer. The football competition is in his memory with the cup first being presented by his sister in 1921. Everybody played really well, through the sunshine and the showers, and in great spirit. A great morning of sport.  More photos can be seen in the gallery.

Emma joined us from Kington Festival Committee to announce the Festival Princess' and Prince 2015. There was tension in assembly as the names were drawn and excitement when the flowers and tiara were presented to the lucky children. We also have a reserve Prince and Princess just in case. Thank you to all of Year Six who put themselves forward.

Headteacher Sticker time comes around so quickly and today all of the pupils in Year Six were rewarded for the effort and thought they had put into their SAT's. A big group of amazing children from across the school filled the front of the hall.

The new month and our new Value, Caring, started well this morning with a super group of children being awarded the Headteacher Stickers for the week. In our weekly lunchtime lottery Year Six did really well again with two of the three break time games going to them for the second week. Congratulations.
