We had a fantastic win in an exciting match that saw our netball team win 5v2 in the Mitchel Hamer Final against a super Radnor Valley team. We have hosted the Mitchel Hamer tournament since 1921, originally just a football tournament but expanding to include netball. We can not remember the last time we won netball, if we ever have. It was very exciting.

All of our football and netball teams played brilliant even carrying on through the hail. The sun shone just in time for team photographs.

We were really excited this morning when the House Captains were able to award Merit Badges to children from each House ranging from our blue badge for 50 merit points right up to our silver star for 300 points. Congratulations to them all and to the children awarded Headteacher Stickers for fantastic work and a brilliant attitude.

Headteacher stickers on a Monday morning really gets the week off to a good start as we celebrate such a variety of brilliant achievements and super attitudes. We also suddenly found ourselves singing a song 'in the round' and the children picked it up and sang so well.

A lovely week back to the Summer Term with lots of excitement already in the first week.  We congratulated the progress, achievement and personal qualities of many children, who were awarded an Achievement Certificate.  Mrs Welson also brought the Spring Term Reading Bingo to a close, with a number of lucky winners receiving some new books.  Finally, Mr Blood and KS2 children demonstrated their excellent gymnastics and dance routines.  KS1 children had a tough job to choose the overall champion.  We are grateful to Mrs Bennison for presenting our Year 6 winners with their medals.
