Our School Value for May is Cooperation.

Our Core Values: Hope, Trust, Courage & Perseverance, Respect, Cooperation, Responsibility, Kindness & Friendship, Honesty, Peace and Understanding.

We explore our core values in our school and class assemblies and look out for them in our daily practice, earning Values Vouchers and Beads as we go.

  • Congratulations

Fri 11 Feb 2022 Mrs AC Phillips and Mr D Perkins

It has been a slightly different week in school as we have welcomed important visitors to work with the children across the school. The children have been brilliant, as they always are, and made everyone feel at home. They have shown all of their amazing qualities and reflected our school values.

Our important visitors included prospective candidates for the role of Headteacher and we are delighted that Mrs Bretherton has been appointed. Mrs Phillips and Mrs Bretherton will continue to work together until the end of this academic year.

In assembly we said thank you to all of the children and selected some to say that special congratulations with a Headteacher Sticker. Plenty more house badges were awarded and we thought ahead to Easter as we were enjoying a non-uniform day. The children’s donations will certainly help to create a fantastic Easter Raffle.

  • Simplicity

Fri 04 Feb 2022 Mrs AC Phillips and Mr D Perkins

As we head into February we change our monthly Values focus. This month we will be thinking about how the values of Simplicity and Quality can be seen in the way that we work and interact in school and within our community. We stop and think about the meaning of these important values and how we can show and see them in ourselves and each other.

Often, the Headteacher Sticker Awards reflect these attributes and we celebrate identifying them in the range of learning we see.

This week the children have been particularly brilliant in developing their sporting, creative and core skills. Our youngest children have been celebrating Chinese New Year, with the waft of delicious cooking drifting through school.

We love to come together to hear about all the wonderful things that are happening across school.
