We listened to the most beautiful music today when Glenda joined us to with not just one of her harps but five. The children were inspired by her story of becoming a most talented musician and how she manages to fit all the harps in her car! They were delighted when some of them had a chance to play themselves. We are really pleased that Glenda might be able to offer harp lessons if anyone is interested. Please let us know.

The school choir headed of to the Genting Arena in Birmingham to take part in the Young Voices Concert 2017. They joined 6000 others young voices, dancers and musicians to perform to a full arena of family and friends. An incredible experience and thoroughly enjoyable for everyone. We are so proud of our very special choir who will entertain the residents at Kington Court next week with some of the songs they sung today.

Back in school children were awarded Headteacher's sticker at the end of a busy week. There were amazing reasons given for each sticker and included some super writing, problem solving, telling the time, focus on their own learning and being a great role model. Congratulations and well done to you all.

Year Five have started a project with the charity called UP (previously Concern Universal) and shared the start of this work with us all in assembly. The project is called 'Hands Up for the Planet' and focuses on sustainability and a world free from poverty. Steve encouraged us to 'think about living today whilst thinking about tomorrow.' Year Five are going to explore ways that we can all help and share those thoughts with us all.
  • An update on MyMaths and Flash

    Fri 13 Jan 2017

MyMaths are in the process of moving away from using Flash to run their website, due to a number of incompatability problems. They are working on this as a matter of high importance to ensure that MyMaths continues provide you with the best possible experience no matter which browser you use.

Please be assured that you will still be able to access MyMaths while they complete their work. However, you may need to adjust your browser settings if you are having trouble opening content. They have updated their support site with the latest information and advice around browser settings. If you use Google Chrome, please note that this information has changed since last term.

With the expected snow not quite coming to anything we were able to have our Friday celebration assembly. The children have all been amazing this week and we thanked all the adults in school for their hard work too. It was a big Friday smile for everyone but particularly those with Headteacher Stickers.
