The Nursery children brought back the sunflower seeds they had been growing at home as part of our Turners Garden Centre competition. They all did really well with the winner managing to grow theirs taller than themselves, very impressive. They really loved their winning prize.

Our final Achievement Assembly of the year saw us congratulating the children on such a lovely range of things from their positive attitude, their smiles, coming into school everyday ready and eager to being fantastic artists, writers and amazing all-round learners. We all thought about the things we had done to make this a special and successful year. Two of our pupils received a certificate for 100% attendance throughout the whole year which is an incredible achievement. Congratulations to everyone for being very special and making this year a great one.

We all had such a treat with the end of year show 'Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies' There was amazing singing, dancing and acting and the script was totally entertaining both for children and adults. Year Six took the main roles and were fantastic. Parents supported us with great costumes and all the staff joined together to put together another great show. It was brilliant.

Earlier in the day our final Headteacher Stickers for the year were presented along with Attendance Certificates for those children who had risen to the challenge and attended school 100% of the time during the summer term. All of the children were entered into a draw with the lucky winners receiving a family ticket for Kington Show courtesy of McCartneys of Kington and a pass from Superstars Summer School. Well done to them all and thank you to our community for supporting the school.

We had to say a sad farewell to Penny, from Aspire Dance,  who has been a fabulous dance teacher for our after school club. The dancers finished with a short show to their families. It was super and they have clearly enjoyed their chance to dance.

Whilst some of our children took part in the Summer Games held at Hereford Leisure Centre, we took part in some team building and creative activities at school.  Cricket, stone art, wind turbine challenge and fun games on the iPads were just some of them!

We have been at the 'Summer Games 2017' in Hereford today and what an amazing time we had! There were 1700 other children competing which was incredible. Some of the children also met Sascha Kindred a local swimmer who has competed in six summer Paralympic Games winning thirteen medals. Our tag rugby, lacrosse and indoor athletics teams represented our school brilliantly showing fantastic sportsmanship, teamwork and enjoyment of sport, well done all of you. A special mention for our Y3/4 indoor athletics team who came 4th overall out of 20 schools!
