Well done to all of our very worthy sticker awardees this week.  So many great reasons - wonderful writing; making huge progress; extending their English vocabulary; working more independently and sheer enthusiasm in maths lessons were just some of them.  Thank you also to Charlotte from the Dogs Trust who joined us for two days and worked with every class to explore safe behaviour around dogs. She really enjoyed working with your children and they were a credit to the school community. Thanks all and have a lovely weekend.

We've been very lucky this week to watch the wonderful Wizard of Oz show that was organised by our Friends of KPS. It was so much fun and great to watch a story come to life through the clever use of costume and character. Thankyou so much to our fantastic PTA - the children and staff all loved the experience and we are already looking forward to the next one!

Last Friday, we had a great time at Young Voices at the Resorts World Arena and even sang 'Proud' along with Heather Small from M People. Thank you so much to our amazing pupils and staff who came along and made the day so enjoyable.  Please see last week's blog for photos.

Well done to all of our sticker winners today - lots of teachers chose people for working very hard, focusing well and making a super effort in all their lessons as well as being caring friends or settling in to their new class beautifully.  Congratulations to all.

    Fri 13 Jan 2023 Mrs A Welson

Our hall was not as full as normal this morning due to children from across Years 4,5 and 6 taking part in the singing event 'Young Voices'. The coach left Kington this morning full of excited and enthusastic singers, we look forward to hearing all about their day. For our school celebration this morning there were a super variety of reasons  for this week's headteacher stickers. We heard about fantastic gymnastic skills, lovely kindness and friendship, focus and great effort in maths sessions, being a wonderful role model for others and making significant personal progress. We were also able to award four achievement certificates to children across school who had missed our assembly at the end of last term. Congratulations everyone on another brilliant week across school.

Welcome to 2023!  We had a really lovely assembly today to celebrate a great start to the Spring Term. Congratulations to our sticker winners today - all the adults had long lists of reasons for their choices including: working with a positive attitude; recognising lovely things about their friends and even being a 'sparkling' part of classroom discussions!  Such a nice way to start a new year.  Have a good weekend everyone.
