  • A New Term Begins

Fri 29 Apr 2022 Mrs AC Phillips and Mr D Perkins

We return to a busy half term, especially as it is so short, but the children have continued where they left off, working with commitment and enjoyment and engaging in the exciting range of learning that staff plan for them.

Some of the children have been eagerly awaiting the presentation of their next House Point badge and we were delighted to be able to do this today together with Headteacher Stickers in recognition of a brilliant start to the Summer Term. We particularly celebrated friendship, thoughtfulness and perseverance.

Sports Council presented the winners of last term's challenge with their prizes and announced the new throwing and catching challenge for this term. We look forward to seeing the children really challenging themselves and supporting each other too.

It is lovely to be back together again.  Happy Summer Term everyone.

  • Happy Hoppy Holiday

Fri 08 Apr 2022 Mrs AC Phillips and Mr D Perkins

We have come to the end of the Spring Term and had lots to celebrate with the children receiving their Achievement Certificates. We all love to hear about the children from across school who have had a fantastic few weeks. As always, we thought about everything that we have all achieved and some of the challenges we have faced with determination and often great success.

Our netball and hockey teams enjoyed success this week at the Herefordshire Spring Games. We achieved a semi-final place in netball and reached the final in hockey. The teams were also commended for their impeccable attitude both on and off the pitch.

It was time to say a fond farewell to one of our members of staff who has been working across school for three years. She is embarking on an exciting new teaching adventure in Hereford City and we know we will be welcoming her back to visit us.

It was our Friends of Kington Primary School ‘Bunny Run’ day to welcome the Easter holiday. The classes found different ways to have fun and to raise a little bit of money to support those extra activities we enjoy offering the children.

We all wish you a happy and relaxing Easter break and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday 25th April.

  • Frosty Friday

Fri 01 Apr 2022 Mrs AC Phillips and Mr D Perkins

The weeks are whizzing past with just one week until the end of term. We had a smaller assembly today as our older children were on an exciting trip to Blist Hill. Look out for more photographs either on the blog or class pages.

Back in school we awarded Headteacher stickers, to each class, for special reasons that ranged from a brilliant attitude, thoughtfulness, care and enthusiasm through to the quality of presentation and making those really important next steps in learning. The children face new challenges with determination and often surprise themselves, and us, at what they can achieve.

We were also able to say thank you and good luck to another of our amazing student teachers who leave us today.

    Congratulations to everyone.
