We have enjoyed assemblies from both Year Three and Joe this week, acting, reading, performing poetry and even singing in French.

Today we have joined with hundreds of other schools to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care. A big thank you to the parents who joined us for a coffee morning. Our school Ambassadors were super hosts and enjoyed a well deserved cake to relax afterwards. All the children were allowed to leave their school socks and tights at home and wear something more colourful. A good day for a special cause. We still have some cakes to sell after school today but have already raised a super £219. Thank you everyone.

We were delighted to award our first Headteacher Stickers of the new school year to children who have returned to so eager and ready to learn and with the most amazing enthusiasm and attitude. Well done to them all.

We were also delighted to have a mention in the Hereford Times due to the number of super entries  in the children's section at Kington Show. Several of our children were awarded prizes and were so pleased to receive them in assembly.

The school looked amazing after we were lucky enough to be the recipient's of D Shift's Cadbury Community Day. A fantastic team gave their time to paint, clean, hedge cut and generally tidy up around the playground. We have had lots of positive comments from parents and children. A really big thank you to them all.

Nearly all of our Year Six pupils put themselves forward for the role of House Captain and presented very persuasive speeches to the whole school. What a difficult job they gave the children when it came to voting. The results will be announced in assembly next week but congratulations to them all.

Some of our youngest children started school today and were just brilliant, enjoying all the fantastic things that the nursery offers. We also enjoyed listening to our music teacher play during assembly. Please ask if you would like your child to have music lessons.

The past two days have been such a lovely start to our new school year.

    Welcome back everyone.

How lovely to have the school full of children again ready and eager for the year ahead. In assembly we talked about our 'value' of Hope with the children wanting everyone to see happiness, working together and real concentration in these first few days. We were not disappointed.
