  • Year Six Elections

Fri 25 Sep 2020 Mrs AC Phillips and Mr D Perkins

We had such an exciting assembly this morning as we announced the results of the Year Six elections for Sports Captains, House Captains and Vice-House Captains. Year Six pupils standing for these really important positions had produced the most amazing videos for all the children to watch during the week, as we could not come together for our usual live speeches and voting.

The results were as close as ever and we thanked everyone who had put themselves forward before announcing the results. We will be posting photographs early next week but in the meantime you might like to watch some of their fabulous speeches in our video libraryThe children from each class gave the elected pupils some ideas of what they could plan over the next year. We look forward to sharing their challenges and events with you as they happen.

We know it is going to be fabulous even with COVID to think about. They will find a creative and exciting way. Thank you and congratulations.

  • Remarkable

Fri 18 Sep 2020 Mrs AC Phillips

We had the most incredible words to think about in assembly this morning. The children talked about the school being bustling, exciting, fun, and full of friends. Those children receiving Headteachers Stickers have all worked especially hard, with enjoyment, giving 100% and producing such quality work. We celebrated art and writing, friendship and thoughtfulness. We love the chance to count together in tens to 100 and to congratulate the children. Our Superstars sport teacher awards a sticker and the pupil receiving it today also received their class award. An extra special day for that Year Three pupil.

Well done everyone you are all remarkable.

  • Amazing

Fri 11 Sep 2020 Mrs AC Phillips

We have been absolutely amazed at how well the children have come back to school and settled to all the new routines. Saying a quick goodbye at the school gates, finding their coloured spot, washing their hands and being ready to learn has happened so smoothly. They have found ways to play outside without the equipment they were used to and have been so imaginative.

Our community members have commented on how lovely it is to hear the children's voices again. We have loved that in school too.

Many of our school values have really shone through this week and the value of Thoughtfulness was a thread that came through during our virtual Headteacher Sticker Assembly this morning. It was brilliant to be able to congratulate the award winners. We are looking at a way to share photographs of them with you. A fantastic start to the Autumn Term.

  • Welcome Back

Fri 04 Sep 2020 Mrs AC Phillips

It is just brilliant to be able to write this blog from school rather than home. We are ready and very excited about welcoming you all back. The classrooms are looking fantastic and even though a little different very welcoming. We will all soon get used to how we need to work and play to keep each other safe but being back and learning together feels very special. I have recorded a little video for you which you can find in the video library but the best thing is that we will be seeing you all very soon.

Welcome everyone to the Autumn Term and the new school year.
