  • Let's all go to Tesco! - Monday 12th & Wednesday 14th January

    Mon 12 Jan 2015
Year 3 and 4 children have been to Tesco at Belmont in Hereford as part of the Happy Eat Project.  The children had a lovely time and represented the school brilliantly.  The children had the opportunity to see how Tesco runs and got to look behind the scenes.  Also, the children found out about where their food comes from and were able to try a range of new experiences.

What a treat we had today when Martin Brown, Horrible Histories illustrator, popped in for a visit. The children and adults were totally captivated and had such fun with drawing. Character design, story telling, and a dip into Tudor history, was just part of a great morning. Lots of us carried on drawing into the afternoon having been so inspired. Amazing.

Year Six adapted the story of Little Red Riding Hood and presented two versions to the school in Assembly. They were beautifully read and brilliantly acted. What a treat.

A fabulous start to the new term and 2015. The children have returned with news of a good holiday and ready for the Spring Term. Our ECO Committee spent the morning with a visitor who was checking to see if we could be awarded the Green Flag for our work in protecting and sustaining a healthy environment not just for us now but for the future. They were asked lots of questions and toured the school to look for signs of excellent practice. We will let you know if we have been successfully awarded ECO School status.
