Although Year Three and Year Four were out on their trip to Carlean we wanted to present our Prince and Princesses with their sashes and tiaras and celebrate another really good week. Many of the children have met and surpassed their targets with an amazing positive attitude and determination. Well done to them all.

It did unfortunately rain again and we had to call off Sports Day for a second time but the children tried their hand at Curling and scored some fantastic points for their House. We are adding them to scores from Tuesday and hope that next week we may be able to complete some of the track events and announce an overall winner. They have all been so fantastic.

We took a quick break from sport to choose this years Kington Carnival Prince and Princess. Bouquets and pin holes were given to the children by a representative from the Festival Committee who also had a turn at Curling! Their sashes are arriving tomorrow so look out for more pictures.

Meanwhile across Year Five and Year Six elections were held. Polling Stations were open and in Year Five a new party proved popular with the voters. Congratulations to Britain Will Shine.

We had some sunshine indoors and outside today with our Achievement Assembly celebrating so many children who have quietly, and with a smile, made the best of every opportunity resulting in a whole variety of successes. Congratulations to them all.

Gardening club planted the hanging baskets and tubs for the front of the school and are delighted at how well their raised beds are growing.

It was lovely to see the children outside in the sunshine. Fingers crossed for Sports Day tomorrow!
